I did it. After all of the waiting and wishing and desiring, I got The Lens. It's a Canon L series, 24-70mm 2.8, one of the best they make. I'm still in some disbelief that I just spent that much money but given its quality, I'll be using it for at least the next 30 years.
Maybe this will give my photo-motivation a shot in the arm.
